The "Protest Ferry Merger Alliance" started its actions at ferry pier no. 6 in Central. Residents and passengers are asked to participate in the signature campaign.
Furthermore, 8 male and 1 female members of the Rural Committees (including Island District Councillor Wong Fuk-kan) and local organisations (including Esta of SLLG) start their hungerstrike and sit-in protest at 4.30pm.
Under a lot of media attention, Hon. Wong Kwok-hing, Hon. Lam Wai-keung, Ms. Chow Chuen-heung, vice-chair of the IDC and a representative of the NTW Heung Yee Kuk announce the start of the South Lantau Residents Hungerstrike and Sit-in Action until Sunday 12.30pm.
