Meeting with Transport Department (12 July 2007)

Given the time (6.30pm) there was a considerable number of residents from Mui Wo to Tai O attending the meeting with representatives of the Transport Department, Ms. Cheung and Mr. Wong Wai-ming.

There were critical and angry voices about the TD proposal and the lack of consultation of the residents. Another strong criticism was that a decrease in ferry services would undermine the Lantau Concept Plan and Mui Wo Facelift.

The Representatives of the TD couldn't get any supporters for their proposal.
